This is an absolutely wonderful novel. I'm really enjoying it so far. Both characters are unique and loveable. 宫岁寒’s brand of innocence and naivety shapes her thought processes in a way that is logical yet illogical at the same time. It’s always entertaining to read about what she’s thinking. She is your average person but abnormal in many ways. I would definitely love to have a friend like that. Easy to satisfy, easy to read, and definitely the last person you would expect to intentionally harm you. I loved the scene when she brought her handmade 饅頭 to share with 元敏. That was absolutely adorable! At the same time, I see potential for unintentional harm. 宫岁寒 is very easy to manipulate once you get to know her. So I am worried that she would be used to against 元敏 or 宫岁寒 might end up doing something that will hurt the empress. The path to hell is always paved with good intentions after all.
But I can see why 元敏 would (eventually) fall in love with 宫岁寒. 宫岁寒 is very easy to be around. Even when you’re angry, she would do things that are completely different from what you would expect and make you laugh (like in this chapter). I could so see the two of them having a romantic moment initiated by 元敏 but ruined by 宫岁寒’s slowness. Of course, 宫岁寒 will say or do something later to give romance a unique spin of her own.
As for 元敏, she is the empress but your portrayal always reminds the reader that she is also an 18 year old girl who is lonely and isolated at the top, constricted by her position. At the same time, her intelligence, cunning, beauty and sheer fortitude as empress makes her incredibly attractive yet distant at the same time. She truly is 不可侵犯遙遠的女皇. I do hope she finds happiness but it definitely would not be easy. At some point, she would doubt 宫岁寒’s sincerity and the practical concerns of having her by her side. That’s just the nature of being a ruler. If people know that 元敏 favours 宫岁寒, 元敏 would have to wonder if her lover is succumbing to temptation or gradually losing her innocence as she stays longer with her within the palace that is filled with plots and the worst of human nature. Just the simple fact that 宫岁寒 is actually a woman could cause an uproar later on. It's not a big deal theoretically but any scheming court official could blow it out of proportion (借題發揮); it is technically fraud, possibly forcing 元敏 to choose between bending the law herself or punishing 宫岁寒; it's something which could eventually threaten the legitimacy of her reign.
Anyways, looking forward to how the story will move on. (forgive my impurity of thoughts but how the two of them will get to the H part makes me very curious given 宫岁寒’s personality. Might it get to the point where 元敏 would just push 宫岁寒 onto her royal bed and just have her way with her? AHHH~~~~ sorry)

虽然英语也是很不行，但是还是一字一句慢慢看，看不明白的还在网上翻译了一下，
但是依旧难掩激动……
