第一部的倒数第二章，和第二部的最后3章，有个特点，感情不够，隐喻又太多，不够打动人。
但兄弟梗除了涉及会饮篇外，确实与Maurice中的那个surfficed相合。估计与第一次昏倒有关。敲诈是假，坚定是真。M曾经被M/？F母亲打击的痛苦估计也是真的。

He called him "sir," 原来Sir这个称呼从这里就开始有了，笑。估计两人之间的暗语吧。再想想Maurice中的Sir，一股调侃扑面而来啊 not because he was richer or cleverer or smarter, not because he had helped to educate him哈，暗示Mr.Failing/M,这个姓真好用，既可以表示去不了天堂，也可以暗示得不到爱人 and had lent him money, but for a reason more profound—for the reason that there are gradations等级 in heaven.其实是心里遗憾觉得爱人跟自己的精神即使在天堂里也不会在一起了吧。
Mr.Failing/M继续说，Mrs.Eliot/M的分身
